Welcome to this week's CST memory quiz, which has a 'St Patrick's Day theme.

There is a video version of it here, aimed at people with dementia living at home without access to a CST group ...

Also, if you like and use my work you can buy me a coffee by scanning this QR code ...

This will help me towards covering costs of maintaining this websites and my YoUtube channel as free CST resources.

You could start by reading out this old "Irish Blessing" ...

And then you could get discussions going by asking,

  • Who is Irish, or has Irish parents?

  • Who has an Irish name?

  • Who has lived in or visited Ireland?

  • What are the people and culture like?

  • How about the countryside, the weather, the food and drink?

Then you could read through these Irish sayings together. Which have members heard before; which do they themselves use?

How about these Irish words?

There are five rounds: 'Facts About Ireland', 'Irish Places', 'Irish Food & Drink', 'Famous Irish People', 'Irish TV & movies' and 'Irish Music'. These are followed by a song after each round.

Take tike to pause for discussion and story telling ...

Here is someone kissing the 'Blarney Stone'. Who fancies having a go?

And here is an example of a limerick ...

* Leo Varadkar was the first gay Taoiseach. He was in office from 2017-20 and 2020-22

You could play clips to have a 'Name That Tune' session for this round ...

Closing music ...

Final singalong ...
