FIFA World Cup 2026 Activities

Welcome to our FIFA World Cup 2026 celebration!

Special thanks go to Tim Nicholls, Specialist Dementia Nurse Practitioner, for his help towards putting this CST activities page together.

Whether you're a lifelong football supporter or simply enjoy the excitement that comes with a major sporting event, this collection of activities is designed to spark memories, encourage conversation, test knowledge and, most importantly, have fun together.

We'll take a journey through the history of football, including the remarkable Christmas Day truce football matches of World War One. We'll explore the rules of the game with a simple "Football for Beginners" guide and revisit treasured football memories from childhood and beyond.

Share your recollections of Subbuteo, football cards, sticker albums, the football pools and Roy of the Rovers. Reminisce about memorable matches, favourite players, local teams and what football meant to your family and community.

Along the way we'll discover:

⚽ England's 1966 World Cup triumph and the story of Pickles the dog

⚽ World Cup Willie and famous football songs

⚽ Match famous TV theme tunes to football programmes and presenters

⚽ World Cup fashions, crazes and football collectibles

⚽ World Cup mascots through the years

⚽ Host city picture quizzes from the 2026 tournament

⚽ How World Cup ticket prices have changed over the decades

⚽ The greatest footballers of all time – the GOAT debate

⚽ Five unforgettable moments from football history

⚽ The stories of the English, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish national teams

⚽ The Lionesses' historic successes

⚽ Hold your own World Cup sweepstake

⚽ Sing along to some of football's most famous songs and anthems

Football is about much more than goals and trophies. It brings people together, creates lasting memories and gives us moments we never forget.

So pull up a seat, choose your team, and enjoy our World Cup 2026 activities. The next kick-off is just around the corner!
