Here is a straightforward local CST activity which focuses on statues and sculptures in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

Ask members if they recognise any of them?

Do they like them?

Where are they?

What are the statues/sculptures called?

What do they signify?

You could move on to rate which are best - maybe make a top three.

NB. A few at the end are 'nearbys'.

Surprisingly there are no statues of Dame Shirley Bassey or Sir Tom Jones in Cardiff.

However, there is one of Dame Shirley in Caernarvon Castle - what do you think???

And of one Sir Tom is to be erected in Pontypridd - looks quite good?

Of and don't forget there was this statue in Holton Road, Barry.

As for songs, you could play some Shirley Bassey and Tom Jones hits during the activity, but as we're playing close to home don't forget to include this one ...
